I Know Better But I Sin Anyway

“For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)”
Romans 2:14-15 KJV
So the natural law. Gentiles don’t have the law of Moses yet they follow the things in the law by nature. Its as if the law is written on their hearts and it is natural. But the question arises, what sets the tone of something being “naturally wrong”. Is it your environment that has predetermined what is wrong or its something that you’re inwardly born with that detests certain wrong things.
For example if you grow up in a community of cannibals. Do you ever question the act of eating other people or because you grew up in a community where that is natural it is accepted.
What is the natural law?
What causes you to question whether or not something is wrong is the thought or feeling which we usually suppress that is always pointing to, “if it were done to me how would i feel”
In other words though we do certain wrong things deep down saved or not saved we have this lingering thought if this was me or my loved one how would i feel.
Proof of this is how murderers always have measures to protect their loved ones. Dictators and ruthless leaders have tight security. Thieves are always having their eyes running around to see if anyone is stealing from me, because they know its wrong they don’t want to feel the same pain others feel because of them. So cheaters are always looking for where or when their partner cheated. Its as if they’re trying to protect themselves from what it is they’re doing.
So Jesus saying the golden rule, its not as if its some divine grand instruction that really is far away and we have to fast and pray for us to understand it. He is just highlighting the natural law he put on our hearts. He is bringing it to light.

So why do people ignore the thought/law/feeling? Its because of desperation. They are willing to convince themselves that they need this soo much or else they’ll die. I really need this money let me just take it. Or else I’ll starve.
If i tell the truth I’ll be exposed for who i really am i can’t allow that information to get out I’ll lie instead.
I am dying of loneliness i really need to sleep with this person, or else I’m done for… we always reason out our way to suppress the law on our hearts. Yes its wrong but I’m dying.
And this exactly is the Esau moment. I’m dying of hunger what is an inheritance when I’m dead.
So we shut that voice of our conscience and we SIN.
But in honest truth what you’re communicating by sinning is that God can’t save me. God can’t make a way. God can’t help me. So i am finding and funding my own way to life. God isn’t enough.
So Sin is actually a statement that God cannot, but I can. Thats what makes sin rebellion.
Because sin on its own its at your expense so how does it affect God? Why is God soo much against sin.

Because by sinning you’re saying God isn’t faithful. Your momentary desperation has caused you to disrespect God’s integrity after all he has done.
Sin is not just an insult to God's faithfulness. It is an attack on His goodness. It says: "Your way is not good. Your provision is not enough. Your timing is not wise. I will take what I want, when I want, how I want — because I know better."
