i will go back

a man in his thoughts...

I will go back to the place that gave me purpose;

I will remember the discipline that has brought me this far,

I will rescue my productive culture,

Long time ago I spoke like a king and ruled like a prince.

Yet today, I am not anymore. Today, I have become a slave.

My titles have all been reduced to history archives.

I was a man with a vision.

My ambitions were carefully driven and balanced,

Moreover, I was a man of value, I had something to contribute.

I used to be appointed for special assignments.

Nevertheless, it has changed.

Like hot turning into cold, I have lost authority,

I have been defeated by life bizarre circumstances.

Now, I remember my first love;

I will go back to the place that gave me purpose ;

I will remember his discipline that has brought me this far ;

I will rescue my productive culture;

Then I shall be released from the torment of my soul;

I shall go back to Christ.

Great Lord! have I run out of time ?

do you feel lost?

We live in a world that is in a fallen state, and because of all that goes on around us, and what we go through every day, it is easy to feel like we are in an empty vacuum sometimes- lost, alone or helpless. When we take a look into the Bible from the book of Job, a man named Job was doing so great in life, but all of a sudden, he experienced a deep loss, loneliness and pain and he began to ask himself and God many questions. See Job 29: 7-29, and Job 30:9-14.

what can i do?

Sometimes, we face issues like that because we fail to realize how far away we are from our first love- God. Far away in wisdom, in hope, in faith and in trust. It is a time to run back to our true Lover. and He alone will put our lives back on track. 2 Chronicles 7:14 assures us of this. You have been running away for too long. it is time to come home. God loves you!
